I need instant results!!!

Recently, someone I know, was commenting on how he's been going to the gym for a couple of weeks to lose weight, and how its hardly made a dent in his weighing scale readings, I mean the guy is trying all he can , trying to eat right and avoid certain foods , working out regularly , doing all the right things possible and still not seeing the ' expected' results, so he is indeed frustrated, and is now even thinking of throwing in the towel and going back to his old ways, frustration reigns and its just human nature , from his point of view he is correct , if pain does not result in gain , then whats the point ? I NEED TO SEE RESULTS , AND THAT TOO ,WITHOUT MUCH OR NO DELAY !!!

We live in an ' instant result' world , I mean look around you at the grocery store, hundreds of ' instant products' , go to a pharmacy and you see a lot of ' instant weight loss' , and 'instant energy' products , its all intended to seduce our brain with the ' instant result ' punchline and we love it, I mean who likes to wait ? patience is not in vogue .

The above can be compared to our Christian life, we need certain prayers to be answered by God, and we do all the good and right things , we pray constantly, go to Church fellowships, fast twice a week , get rid off bad habits etc and do all that, but still there is no answer from God, absolutely nothing , no results, then the negative thinking creeps in " Am I being heard ? " , " Maybe Im not good enough " , " Im cursed, and God just will not listen " , "Look at Mariamma next door, hardly prays or goes to Church, but she won the lottery, how unfair is that? " , so on and so forth, until one fine day the towel is thrown into the ring and we give up and go back to the old ways , why? because no instant result is seen.

Friends , The negative thoughts mentioned above are the weapons of Satan , do not give in to it, its just a cheap trick , we are sons and daughters of the Living God and we just dont fall for cheap stuff , those thoughts are just wrong, Our God is a God who listens to the prayers of His children, all the promises of the Bible are true , we just have to live in faith, I know its easy to say this , but it is true, Faith is seeing without believing and prayers will be answered, there is no doubt about it, its just that God answers prayers in His time , not ours, so lets not wait for ' instant results' that have been programmed in our brain, but rather wait for God's results, they are the best and it WILL happen. Prayers have always been answered , so walk in faith, be confident and hold your head high, no matter what others may say , you belong to God and Never Never give up on God. Wake up every morning and say " I have the favor of Jesus with me ' and it will be a great day ! "

A best friend indeed !

I am back for the blog, yeah , and its been a while

Recently I was thinking to myself , who can qualify to be ones best friend(s) ? parents ? spouses ? old classmates? collegues ? who can you approach when you are faced with a truly depressing or sad situation, I mean, people in all their goodness say " I understand" or " Iv been through this " or even " Iv travelled the same road, and know exactly where you are coming from " , but do they ????
Iv said the same things too, to other people and I really meant it , but did I actually know what the other person was going through?? the truth is ' maybe' I thought I did, but ' no' is the right answer.
We come back to the question : who can be your best friend ? who can really understand what you are going through , who can see the actual depth of your sadness, the true burden of your heart? or even better "Who can read Your mind? " , the answer, my friend, is NOT blowin' in the wind, its in the Bible and the name is Jesus Christ, He is the best friend to all , can read Your mind, and see you inside out , " Come to me , all those who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest " words from the Son of God who came to Earth and took a humanly form, suffered humiliation, endured much pain , let down and disowned by friends, and ultimately had to die the most horrible suffocating death - death by hanging on the Cross , suffered every bit, so that He could be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, just think about it, who would do it ? and He died a human death with every bit of suffering , for You and Me. Today, I have hope , I know I have a God who is also my true best friend , can anything beat that ?

The intention here is not to judge anyones capacity to be your friend, dont get me wrong ,people do make really great friends and Iv seen true friendships that have lasted for years and years, But my point is that human friendship has limitations because its man and not God, so make Jesus Christ your best friend today, and He truly listens.

Spring !!!!

Its spring, and its still grey, there is no grass, no leaves on trees yet, the wind is still chilly, lumps of hard snow still on the sidewalks, people are still in sweaters and long coats, the convertibles are still not running the road yet, BUT, officially its Spring , and thats all that matters , it does wonders to you , the very thought.

Thank you Lord, for the Spring that 'springs' up after every winter , Trust in Jesus and He will give you a spring after every winter that you face in your life. isnt it just great! .

To all that are depressed,lonely,sad,facing a wall...., be of good cheer, commit your life to Jesus and see the difference, it really works, believe me.

You came from Heaven to the Earth to show the way,..... from the Earth to the Cross my debt to pay,.... From the Cross to the grave,.... from the grave to the sky...... Lord I lift your name on high !!!

A message of love

.... for all non Christians, Atheists and Agnostics , try Jesus Christ and you will see the power and grace of the living God , Christianity is not about religion, church denominations, baptisms or anything complicated , Jesus wants you to come as you are , its a simple start - invite Jesus to be your personal saviour and friend, and he will truly change your life, dont expect fireworks , thunder, gushing winds or anything dramatic , He simply works on your heart, slowly but surely with His grace, gentle, as we are all precious to Him. Try it and you will feel the grace and power that comes from the Living God, who sent his own Son to Earth to suffer and die for us so that we may be saved , and He is alive.

I was saved by his amazing grace , I still do have the usual problems and issues that are a part of every human life, there is no escape from that, Jesus never promised a smooth trouble free life , but, I know I have Jesus who gives me the wisdom and strength to overcome the daily issues that I face like fear,tension,insecurity, worldly thoughts and other human traits , but I have faith, out of faith comes trust and out of trust comes strength.

I have heard amazing testimonies of many who have come to Christ from other religions, cults ,other so called Christian deniminations , and I am simply amazed , they have all faced impossible situations with hopelessness ,dejection was a part of their everyday life , idols never answered their prayers , but somehow they found out about Jesus, they believed and accepted Him and He opened new ways for them and answered their prayers, remember He is the God of impossible situations, there is nothing that is not possible for Jesus.

Lord, I can sing of your love forever.

God is Great and greatly to be Praised !!!!!!

God is truly great , Jesus is my comfortor, my deliverer, my rock of salvation, my hiding place in times of trouble, my strength in whom I will trust , my counsellor , my provider, Jehovah Jirah, The lion of Judah.

Your love is amazing my Lord !!! What is man that you care for him , you love him because you are the only true and living God and in your infinite love and grace you care for him , You love me and You call me by name O Lord , You have known me even when I was in my mother's womb , You sent Your Son , Jesus to suffer immensly and die on the cross for me so that I have a chance for salvation and forgiveness of sins. Lord, I worship You and Prasie You with all my heart and soul.

It is my desire to honor You,.. Lord with all my heart I worship You,.. with all I have within me , I give you prasie,.. Lord all that I adore, is in you,.. Lord I give you my heart, give you my soul,.. I live for you alone,.. every breath that I take ,.. every moment Im awake,.. Lord have your way in me.

Its my day off !!

Its my weekend off from the hospital, Im not on call either and that is just great, I get some time on my own, okay, I dont want to talk about my profession, this blog is about other things in life , where I can relate to my true self, where my mind can soar free like a bird ( I know its cliched', the point is, Im trying find my artistic side,if I do have one, that is) so , Im going to write stories, joke around, speak out on my life and today's topic is Christmas , the season of joy, the season that has now become a pudding called commercialism, went to the mall the other day, not a word about Jesus, the REAL REASON FOR THE SEASON , its all about a fictional character called Santa , does anyone know or want to who Jesus is anymore? forget that , or even where the concept of Santa came from ? The real St.Nicklaus never wanted to become the icon of Christmas, he was a Godly man , we made him Father Christmas or 'Christhumus Appooppen'
, the less said the better about all this, Of course its a great and happy season ( not for all though, there are so many stress related cases in hospitals at this time of the year) great season for retailers and shoppers, The shops , the mall atriums,the streets , homes , every possible inch is covered with lively lights, carols being played and you see the faithful bell ringers of the Salvation Army standing in the cold weather , so committed to the good cause of charity which makes me think as what Im doing for others ? God bless them and their loved ones, some day I would like to volunteer to be a ringer , its for a good good cause.

This is going to be a quiet weekend, no buddies coming to visit ,went to the Malayalee store and bought two packets of Parotta , Im going to make beef curry, got to take out the Mrs.K.M Mathew recipe book that Amma sent, I have to thaw the Angus.

With that being said. Im done with this post for now, and the next topic will be on the family Christmases' of the past, in Kottayam when Pappa was still in this world and Amma was a
a cheerful woman with little or no gray hair, when my sis was still an innocent little girl( she still is), when I was a stubborn boy still studying in a prestigious school in Kottayam before changing to an 'ordinary' school as the fees were more affordable, without a care in the world, when Amma didnt have to start looking for a job to support us, when we still had our house where I grew up,when we did not have any debts or atleast not aware of it , when we didnt have to pretend that we had money, when Ammachi was still a pillar of strength and didnt have cancer, when times were good, and when Pappa was still in this world ..... I can go on and on but dont want any tears on my keys, I would do anything to see Pappa again and tell him that Im sorry for being arrogant and not talking to him,tell him that I was just pretending and that I really loved him, that Im 33 now , but Im still his Ponnumon.

An Ammachi Story

Saramma Ammachi was on her deathbed but did not want to die, she had led a hard life as a widow in order to raise and educate her children, which she did very successfully, the kids had all grown and were settled in various parts of the world ( u.sa,dubai,u.sa,dubai and u.s.a), Susamma,Mariamma,Pothachan and Georgekutty were Ammachi's children, grandchildren being Premson,Pyarson,Luvson,Jincy,Flimsy,Pansy,Dukemon,Princemon,Pokemon. Saramma Ammachi felt that it was not fair that she should die now , after all that she went through in her life, so she prayed to God to give her some more time, so God gave her an extention of 20 moreyears to live.Ammachi was overjoyed and she decided to enjoy life to the fullest , travel abroad , visit family and generally have a good time, it was during one of her ' phoren' trips that she saw aT.V program where faces and bodies were being surgically altered, older people suddenly looking 20 years younger and just gorgeous, thanks to advanced cosmetic surgery, Saramma Ammachi had a sudden desire, went to a cosmetic specialty clinic, had more than a few facelifts, pulls, transplants,botox shots and within a few days came out looking like a smashing 35 year old ( was actually 88), but there was one small detail to be taken care of,her Chatta and Mundu, so ammachi went to a trendy store at the mall, bought a pair of jeans and a shirt , dumped the Chatta and Mundu into the trash can ( kept the broach though, it was Pappachan's ( late husband) gift) and walked out of the mall, but alas ! as soon as she reached the street Ammachi fell down and died.Saramma Ammachi goes to Heaven but is also furious , she confronts God and asks " Why did I die so soon??, you gave me 20 more years, this is not fair ! I need a valid explanation " , God looks at her very closely and asks " Saramme , is that really you?, Im sorry I didnt recognize you, Looking down I thought you were somebody else
